Update 0.3.0
Mythbinder » Devlog
Changes
- Added the Card Collection for browsing unlocked Wyrms, Fae, spells, and saved Amalgams, with search, type filters, and a new-card filter.
- Generated Amalgams and their artwork are now saved to your collection for later viewing.
- Amalgam generation now creates concise one-word names and combines source-card features into a single fused subject more reliably.
- Reworked the tutorial with illustrated guides, clearer explanations of card costs, stats, abilities, reordering, and targeting, plus step-by-step prompts that wait for the intended action.
- Combat encounters now draw randomly from enemy groups appropriate for your progress, including a new late Chapter 3 encounter with three Banshees and a Stone Wanderer.
- The player now always goes first in combat. First Strike ability still takes priority.
- The browser version now enters the game automatically after the opening fade.
- Faded Banner now staggers its buff animations across affected minions.
- Button click sounds are now quieter, and the main-menu buttons have more consistent spacing below the logo.
Balance
- Stone Wanderer and Siren now have twice as much attack, while Giant Mistworm and Chapter 3 boss Tarosh now have twice as much health.
- Combat fatigue now begins in round 6 at 1 damage and doubles each round, giving slow teams more time to resolve battles.
- Clay Figurine now copies one of the minions you took from the fire with its current stats and effects, rather than creating a plain copy.
- Cetus Egg now hatches a Cetus with the Egg's stats instead of tripling them.
- Hydra now summons a copy only the first time it survives damage each combat.
Bug Fixes
- Frenzy minions killed by Poison on their first attack no longer make a second attack before dying.
- Artifact descriptions now stay beside artifacts as they move into the tray, and multiple artifact descriptions no longer stack at the same position.
- The Quit button no longer appears on mobile and web builds
- Keywords granted by Tea Leaves now show the Tea Leaves source icon in their descriptions.
- Fixed a rare mobile crash while card hover visuals were being cleaned up.
- Run-ending defeats no longer award Anima before the Game Over screen.
